History

The Cambridgeshire Youth Sailing League has been running since 1996.

Up until 2013 it consisted of teams from Cam, Ely, Hunts and Paxton Lakes Sailing Clubs.

In 2013 the league was extended to include teams from Grafham Water Sailing Club and Grafham Onboard.

Eligibility

To be eligible to participate in the youth league you need to be a member of one of the participating clubs and you need to be under 19 on 1st September.

Events

There are 5 events

• Cam Sailing Club
• Grafham Water Sailing Club
• Ely Sailing Club
• Hunts Sailing Club
• Paxton Lakes Sailing Club

Briefing is at 10:30 with the first of 3 races at 11:00

The entry fee is £1 per boat

Prizes

Prizes are awarded as follows:

1st, 2nd and 3rd overall

1st and 2nd under 15 who didn't win a top 3 prize

1st and 2nd under 12 who did not win a top 3 or under 15 prize

1st girl who did not win a top 3 or age group prize

Youngest competitor who did not win a top 3 or age group prize

Endeavour prize - awarded at the discretion of the race officer

Series Competition

Results from the entire series are combined and series prizes are awarded in the above categories, with the exception of youngest competitor which is only awarded per event.

The best 9 results are used to calculate the series results.
